What is Karajitsu?

The Evolution of a Complete System

Karajitsu is a modern martial art built on the three strongest foundations in combat: Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) for full-range versatility, Karate for striking structure, timing, and discipline, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) for grappling, control, and ground survival. This complete system is designed to be effective in every situation—whether in MMA cages, kickboxing rings, karate tournaments, grappling mats, or most importantly, in real-world self-defense.

History of Karajitsu

At the heart of Karajitsu’s origins is Master Ferdinand Aquino — a formidable martial artist whose life was forged through hardship and relentless determination. A professional MMA fighter, K-1 kickboxer, Kyokushin karateka, and Juego Todo competitor, Fernando has also trained in Vovinam, earned a 9th Khan in Muay Thai, and holds an undefeated 9–0 amateur boxing record. With over 50 recorded fights, his experience spans both the ring and the streets. But Ferdinand’s journey into martial arts was never about sport or glory. It began out of necessity. When his wife was on the brink of childbirth and their child was hospitalized without financial support, Fernando stepped into the underground fighting pits of the Philippines. With every bout, he fought not only for survival — but for family.

Through years of struggle and combat, Ferdinand transformed pain into purpose. He founded Psychopath MMA, a grassroots martial arts team and promotion dedicated to steering youth away from crime, drugs, and violence. His mission: to give others the same weapon that saved him — martial arts.

In the Year 2023, he met Ryann De Guia, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Karate, and MMA practitioner. Under Ryann’s vision, Karajitsu was born — a complete, adaptive system blending the efficiency of MMA, the power of traditional striking arts, and the discipline of classical martial philosophy. It emphasizes not perfection, but adaptability in any situation — the art of adjusting, overcoming, and enduring.

Today, Karajitsu stands not just as a martial art, but as a movement — a testament to resilience, brotherhood, and the power of transformation through discipline.

Our Warrior Code

In Karajitsu, we honor the flow of life—unyielding yet adaptable. Strength arises not from perfection, but from wisdom and resilience.

Like water, we bend with challenges, moving with purpose and grace. Through discipline and respect, we cultivate a spirit that embraces change and stands unwavering in any storm.

We, the practitioners of Karajitsu, embrace martial arts as a path of continuous growth and resilience.

We seek not perfection, but the wisdom to adapt— to move with fluidity, think with clarity, and respond with purposein any situation life presents.

We honor the balance of mind, body, and spirit, knowing that true strength lies not only in technique, but in the courage to face change without fear, and the humility to learn from every challenge.

Through discipline and respect, we build a community rooted in trust and integrity. We commit to mastering ourselves first, so we may protect, uplift, and inspire others.

Karajitsu is not just a system of combat— it is a way of life: adaptable, mindful, and unyielding.
